FAQS

How long will the process take?

A: Most glass installs take about 60-90 minutes on average, depending on the vehicle and the type of glass. Mobile installs can sometimes take longer depending on weather or setup, but we always aim to be efficient without cutting corners.

Q: Do you use the same type of glass as the dealer?

A: Yes, we use OEM or equivalent high-quality glass that meets all safety standards. You’ll never get low-quality parts from us.

Q: Do you offer a warranty?

A: Yes, our workmanship is guaranteed for life. Our limited lifetime warranty covers stress cracks not caused by impact and leaks of air or water. We guarantee our labor for 90 days after installation. Refine Auto Glass does not warranty damage caused by new impact (rocks, accidents, natural occurrences, vandalism, etc., vehicle body/frame damage, or rust at the mounting area, or aftermarket modifications that affect the glass.

It does not cover impact damage, wear and tear, or failure of factory components (such as switches, motors, and seals) not replaced by us, misuse, aftermarket modifications, damage after service, pre-existing rust, corrosion, or vehicle body/frame warping.

Q: Is it possible to perform mobile work during rain or cold weather?

A: We provide cover, but if it’s too cold or pouring, we may reschedule to ensure a proper seal. Your safety comes first.

Q: What should I do after my windshield is replaced?

A: Avoid car washes for 48 hours, leave a window cracked for a few hours, and don’t slam your doors.

Q: Is it possible to receive a ticket for driving with a cracked windshield?

A: The answer is yes; you can. A cracked windshield can cause impaired vision, leading to accidents and injury. According to Georgia law, driving with a cracked windshield or rear window is prohibited if the crack exceeds 3 inches by 3 inches in size. While you can drive with a cracked windshield and may avoid a ticket from police, it’s certainly not advisable. Driving with a cracked windshield can be dangerous and is against the law.

Q: Does the windshield play a crucial role in maintaining the overall structural integrity of your vehicle and ensuring your safety while driving?

A: Yes, you may be surprised to know that impaired vision is not the only reason why you should repair or replace your broken or damaged car windshield. An undamaged windshield is stronger and, in case of accidents, can prevent further injuries. The strength of the windshield/sealant system is designed to keep the roof from crushing in case of a rollover accident. In a front-end collision at approximately 30mph, the windshield/sealant system is designed to keep at least 50% of the glass sealed to the car, which can also keep occupants from being ejected.
